Tasks are the "unit of work" in NetTeam Server. They range from the simple To Do to more complex tasks in custom workflows. Tasks may have their own teams and documents stores, and can be children of or parent to other tasks.

Tasks may be status tracked for reporting or workflow purposes. For example, completion of a series of document-related tasks may trigger assembly of a PDF version of a report, with distribution via mail merge or web content publishing capabilities. In custom workflows, tasks may also assign other tasks, acting as a work distribution system.
