The other building blocks NetTeam Server uses to model an organizations work are Roles, Context and Relations.

• Roles because they determine access, responsibility and scope for each user.
  
  
• Context so that at all times you see who else is working on a Project or Task, or all earlier versions of a Document. Other capabilities are dependent on Role.
  
  
• Relations between records bring the system to life. For example, NetTeam Server can record <is employee> relations between people and organizations in a CRM application, or <has applied to> for a recruiting application; based on these (or more tightly defined roles) a workflow can be constructed.

Metadata is your friend!

Metadata is "data about data". NetTeam Server offers multiple layers of metadata, with easy customization to suit particular needs. For example, all Documents have a Document Type, chosen from a list maintained by the system administrator.
